Thomas Kinkade, the American realistic painter who was born in 19 January 1958, currently becomes a newsmaker. He was reportedly arrested for DUI (driving under the influence) on Friday. According to WSJ, Thomas Kinkade arrested for DUI after sheriff’s deputy of Monterey County, California stopped the painter’s Mercedes-Benz for a vehicle code violation.
The deputy then became suspicious that Kinkade was driving under the influence and called in the California Highway Patrol.
After performing tests to see if the artist was impaired, which Kinkade remained “very polite” throughout, the artist was then arrested and booked into the Monterey County jail on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving.
While Kinkade wouldn’t comment on the arrest, a company spokesman told the newspaper that officials were still reviewing the allegations and that this wouldn’t impact Kinkade’s business.
“Tom is still painting and the business is still strong,” spokesman Dave Satterfield said.
There’s no immediate reports whether Thomas Kinkade has California DUI lawyers or not.
